Coffs Coast Derby Dolls Fresh Meat intake session
2nd Fresh Meat training for the new intake will 6:30 pm Wednesday 19th October
Coffs Harbour Showgrounds
If you haven't got your skates yet but intend joining this intake, get yourself along and do the paperwork and watch the session.
This is the last chance to get your gear and hit the floor for Fresh Meat 2011.
During 2011 some Training times will change:
COFFS HARBOUR SHOWGROUND
Training 19th and 26th October then 2nd and 16th November
BELLINGEN HIGH SCHOOL changes:
There is NO training until Tues 22nd November.
SPORTZ CENTRAL changes:
There is NO training Saturday 12th November.
Saturday Endurance: NOW 3 full hours! 3:00 pm till 6:00 pm.
No training on the following Dates though Street Skates may be held depending on the weather.

2011 Training times:
SPORTZ CENTRAL:
Thursdays 7:30 pm till 9:30 pm. Commencing 20/01/2011 - Level 1 plus (Sass to advise)
Saturday 3:00 pm till 6:00 pm. Commencing 15/01/2011 – Endurance training begins
Thursday and Saturday Training at Sportz Central requires a training fee of, Kneepads to be covered with CCDD approved floor protectors, plus your usual protective gear, skates, water, and Derby attitude.
If you train at Bello, before you skate Sportz Central you must make sure there is no grit in your wheels or protector pads.
ALL SKATES AND PROTECTIVE GEAR WILL BE INSPECTED:
Sportz Central is a brilliant venue, big and with perfect floors, we need to care for them as this is our Coffs Coast Derby Dolls home venue..

Coffs Coast Derby Dolls had an information and Merchandise stand, and the Dolls were on skates during the day to spread the word about Roller derby.

3:00 till 5:30 in the afternoon - there were games, raffles, and general madness for young and old alike.
Some stuck around for a meal from the Derby Doll menu, others took the kids home to the baby sitter and came back for:
8:30 till Late - we danced and grooved to talented Lyndall and Daz acoustic duo, followed by the cruising acoustic trio Coastal Soul, and topped of with the talented J. Klemes Band..

Coffs Coast Derby Dolls invaded Sportz Central SATURDAY 19TH FEB, from 2:30 - 6:00pm.
Set at a convenient time, just before the Saturday Endurance Session, we combined a General Meeting, Coffs Coast Derby Doll Photo Shoot, Skate Salvage skate maintainance session and skated the wonderful Sportz Central floors.
General Meeting:
Thanks to those who came along to find out what's going on in the league, participate in discussion and exciting upcoming events, met all the other Dolls you don't get to see very often, received our first ever CCDD newsletter, and more.
Photo Shoot:
Tom Caldwell shot Coffs Coast Derby Dolls en-mass directly after the General meeting, then took individual shots of the Black stars and Freshies.
Skate Salvage Tech Session:
Once again the amazing girls from Skate Salvage showed our Freshies how to take care of their Derby Gear, and spread Derby wisdom.
Saturday Endurance Session:
Some of our Freshies can joined in for a skate with the Black Stars on our Sportz Central training area.
Road Trip:
Coffs Coast Derby Dolls were extremely excited to be able to join our Roller Derby neighbours, the magnificent Clarence Valley Roller Derby League at their Friday night training session.
Clarence Valley Roller Derby League crew shared a sweaty training session and both leagues benefitted from the session.

The first Modern Roller derby Bout to be played in Coffs Harbour.
Starring the runners up at the Great Southern Slam.
This is the league that came second to the best in the Southern hemisphere, and they demonstrated that their fearsome reputation is not to be taken lightly.
For those that have never seen the spectacular that is Roller Derby, you missed Live Music, crazy intermission acts, a carnival of colour and mayhem all centred on the ACTION that is ROLLER DERBY!

Was a great success, Coffs Coast Derby Dolls learned about how their skates work and how to maintain them courtesy of Ace Vegas from Skate Salvage in Brisbane.
Roll up for the information session was an indication of how serious the Dolls are taking Derby.
Armed with one skate and skate tool and a cloth to work on, the Dolls learned not only how their skates worked but many useful bout tips from the personable Ace Vegas, many chosing to stay for an informal Coffs Coast Derby Dolls dinner and drinks.

"Corpus Mingus" Coffs Harbours most deranged, diverse, and durable Horror Jazz experts.
"The Outcome" in demand by some of Australias top bands as the support band of choice.
The polished sound of "The Outcome" have graced the big stages and now headline the Coffs Derby Dolls Roll-On event
Roll On showed how the Coffs Coast Derby Dolls could pull together to once again raise public awareness of their presence in the area, and provide an entertaining event that raised funds as well as public profile.. .
Bowler Derby:
Bowler Derby:
held at Holiday Lanes on Sunday, 18 July 2010 between 6:00 and 9:00 P.M.
Was a massive success.
As zany Derby Dolls bowled over the punters and waved raffle tickets and money boards wildly in the air, pins ricocheted off the walls and the Coffs Coast Derby Dolls coffers grew..
Treasurer Kelly put the tally well over $1400,00 without the numerous additions to the donation box .
The overall response to the night was staggering, with many signing up on the spot as new members.
Great job all those involved.
Skate/Walk Day at the Coffs Harbour Jetty turned into a mad race as the competitive spirits ran away with Derby Dolls feet.
Fast and fit is the way things are looking for the Dolls right from the starter call.
Muttonbird Dash:
Coffs Coast Derby Dolls’ plant the flag for Roller Derby atop Muttonbird Island. The first fitness event was called at short notice and gathered a few of the group for a quiet dash around the Jetty followed by socialising.
Training calendars will be posted soon and a great chance for everyone to meet will be Bowler Derby, so get yourself booked in with Jessica now!
Get Your Skates On:
We welcome ALL women from 18 years onward to come and train with us! You do not have to have any previous experience.
We are all very different in tastes, appearance and personality. Which is why Derby is such a great sport! It brings people together.
You do not have to compete to join us, some will just be training with us for the pure fun and fitness aspect. Although, if you’ve got a competitive streak, we’d love you on the track!
