Coffs Coast Derby Dolls are legally associated

Coffs Coast Derby Dolls Inc was established in May 2010 and is the result of much hard work by Allison Lowden and a bunch of dedicated Coffs Harbour women. The Association was officially set up on June 23rd 2010, with the inaugaral Committee Members being:
Kira Campbell – President
Melissa Schweickle – Vice President
Sarah Cook – Secretary
Kelly Martin – Treasurer
Coffs Coast Derby Dolls’ aim is to provide a fun, empowering and exciting new sport to the women of Coffs Harbour and surrounding districts.
A strong family friendly sport that provides excellent opportunities to develop high levels of fitness with the added bonus of a chance to adopt a character role in this exciting and colourful sport.

Coffs Coast Derby Dolls’ hope to see madcap teams from all over the region compete in regular bouts.

Roller Derby:

Roller Derby was born in the United States in the 1920s, full-contact roller derby took off around the world before fading into obscurity in the 1980s. Thirty years later, it has sprung up again, driven by the passion of an array of women, young and old (well, from 18 years old onward). Australian Flat Track Roller Derby is an all female contact sport on quad skates! Played on a flat surface (usually timber floors). Roller Derby is played by women. Competitions are referred to as ‘bouts’. Bouts involve two opposing teams each with blockers and jammers and the aim of the game is to score more points than the opposing team's jammer by lapping the other team on the track, proving to be a very exciting spectator sport! Oh, and another awesome fact about Roller Derby...we compete to music!!

Coffs Coast Derby Dolls’ aim is to provide a fun, empowering and exciting new sport to the women of Coffs Harbour. A chance to have ‘you’ time, and discover something you never thought you’d love.

Get Your Skates On:

We welcome ALL women from 18 years onward to come and train with us! You do not have to have any previous experience. We are all very different in tastes, appearance and personality. Which is why Derby is such a great sport! It brings people together. You do not have to compete to join us, some will just be training with us for the pure fun and fitness aspect. Although, if you’ve got a competitive streak, we’d love you on the track!
